This DisplayPort 1.1 cable securely connects laptops, tablets, PCs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, satellite/cable TV receivers and other devices with DisplayPort outputs to televisions or monitors with DVI inputs. You may also use the cable to connect a second monitor to your computer or laptop in your home or office workspace.¦Having a cable come loose accidentally can mean costly and time-consuming signal loss. Latches on the DisplayPort plug and thumbscrews on the DVI connector help you avoid such danger, protecting your video transmission by maintaining a secure link without failure.¦This cable is a passive adapter that requires the connected source computer to support DisplayPort++ (DP++). This allows DVI signals to be passed through.
